In day 4 we are looking at a powerful capability of WordPress. And that is the ability to notify other websites of an update.
These websistes are specialised websites. You may have heard names like pingomatic etc…
However, notification services is different to pings nad trackbacks to other WordPress websites.
If you go to settings->writing you can see a list of the services you are pinging. Of course, this is assuming you do not have \”discourage search engineis\” ticked.
Pingomatic is the default but you can add other feed syndicating services too.
