Coolfemme is an ecommerce site that sells night clothing for women who are in their mid to late years. The business has been featured in the online media.
Susan was referred to me by a friend. We built the site and Susan took some time to learn.
Here’s what was accomplished
- We created an ecommerce component with add to cart buttons
- Incorporated a colour and size chooser
- Split the items into categories and display them on the menu for easy reference
Susan’s Results
Prior to this, Susan was doing a lot of manual processing. The site helped her achieve some automation through customer sales.
She also enjoyed WP. It was her first time exposure to a content management system.
Unfortunately, we used iThemes Exchange. The plugin became more unreliable as time went by. I could no longer recommend this plugin suite if I wanted to.
We rebuilt the site on Woocommerce and I volunteered to do this at my expense. My big lesson learned here was to stick with technology that is proven and not the new kid on the block.
Despite IThemes costing me and my client time and money, Susan went on to take sales from her site using Woo and being able to update it easily.
Update
Susan has shut down her business now due to retirement.
